The Greenwich Global Finance Forum is a two-day meeting of the largest, most sophisticated financial leaders and asset-owners including pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, wealth managers, private bankers, insurance funds and health care organizations in the U.S. The event provides educational updates across all alternative and traditional investments covering hedge funds, credit, private debt, liquid alternatives, distressed, fixed income strategies, global macro, managed futures, commodities, real assets, equity long short, event-driven and other diversified strategies for institutional and private clients.

Through a series of panel discussions, keynotes and interactive round tables with industry leaders, more than 150 institutional and private wealth allocators will explore innovative alternative strategies and new approaches to portfolio construction. Additionally, attendees will analyze the utility of alternative investments from the view of a modern investor’s portfolio.


Ray Dalio, Founder, Co-Chief Investment Officer & Co-Chairman, Bridgewater Associates

In 1975, Mr. Dalio founded an investment firm, Bridgewater Associates, out of his two-bedroom apartment in New York City. Over forty years later, Bridgewater has grown into the fifth most important private company in the United States, according to Fortune magazine, and Dalio himself has been named to Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Along the way, Dalio discovered a set of unique principles that have led to Bridgewater’s exceptionally effective culture, which he describes as “an idea meritocracy that strives to achieve meaningful work and meaningful relationships through radical transparency.”

Paul Tudor Jones, II, Founder, Tudor Investment Corporation

Paul Jones is founder, Co-Chairman, Chief Investment Officer and the controlling principal of Tudor Investment Corporation which he formed in 1980. Mr. Jones is a member of the Commodity Exchange, Inc., the ICE Futures U.S. (formerly the New York Board of Trade) and the New York Fed Investor Advisory Committee on Financial Markets. Mr. Jones served as a member of the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association from May 2010 through December 2011, served as Chairman of the then New York Cotton Exchange from August 1992 through June 1995 and was instrumental in the creation of its Financial Instrument Exchange (FINEX). Mr. Jones’ philanthropic associations include, among others, founder and current board member of the Robin Hood Foundation, former Chairman and current Director of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Chairman of JUST Capital Foundation, Inc., former Chairman and current board member of The Everglades Foundation Inc. and Trustee of NYU Langone Medical Center. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.

Dmitry Balyasny, Chief Investment Officer & Managing Partner, Balyasny Asset Management

Dmitry Balyasny is the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner of Balyasny Asset Management (BAM). He founded the firm with Scott Schroeder and Taylor O’Malley in 2001 with the mission of delivering consistent, alpha-driven returns to clients through a multi-strategy, multi-PM approach. Dmitry is an active risk taker and chairs BAM’s Investment Committee. He began his trading career with Schonfeld Securities in 1994. Dmitry serves as a member of the Advisory Board for Teach for America in Chicago and is involved in a variety of philanthropic efforts throughout the Chicago area.

Afsaneh Beschloss, Founder, Chief Executive Officer, RockCreek

Ms. Beschloss is Founder and CEO of RockCreek. Previously, she was Managing Director and Partner at the Carlyle Group and President of Carlyle Asset Management. She was Treasurer and Chief Investment Officer of the World Bank and worked at Shell International and J.P. Morgan. Ms. Beschloss has advised governments, central banks, and regulatory agencies on global public policy and financial policy. She led the World Bank’s energy investments and policy advisory work on oil, natural gas, renewable and clean energy and power projects to reduce carbon emissions. She founded its natural gas investment and policy group to replace coal in many emerging markets.
