KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Wilbur Ross, Jr., 39th Secretary of Commerce, United States of America

Mr. Ross, Jr. has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Ross Acquisition. Corp. II since inception in January 2021. Prior to Ross Acquisition Corp. II, Wilbur Ross was sworn in by Vice President Mike Pence as the 39th Secretary of Commerce on February 28, 2017. Secretary Ross was the principal voice of business in the Trump Administration, ensuring that U.S. entrepreneurs and businesses have the tools they need to create jobs and economic opportunity. Secretary Ross is the former Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of WL Ross & Co. LLC and has over 55 years of investment banking and private equity experience. He has restructured over $400 billion of assets in the airline, apparel, auto parts, banking, beverage, chemical, credit card, electric utility, food service, furniture, gypsum, homebuilding, insurance, marine transport, mortgage origination and servicing, oil and gas, railcar manufacturing and leasing, real estate, restaurant, shipyard, steel, textile and trucking industries. Secretary Ross has been chairman or lead director of more than 100 companies operating in more than 20 different countries.

Angela Miller-May, Chief Investment Officer, Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund

Ms. Miller-May currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer for the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, a $50.6 billion pension fund that services a membership of over 457,000 members and over 3,030 employers. She focuses on providing strategic portfolio construction, excellent manager selection and rigorous due diligence and provides leadership to a team of investment professionals in meeting IMRF’s investment goals.  Ms. Miller-May joined Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund in August 2021.  Prior to serving as IMRF’s Chief Investment Officer, she served as the CIO for Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund.  She has been honored with many recognitions and awards and engages with organizations across the investment industry.  Ms. Miller-May holds an MBA from Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University and has earned her BA in Economics from Northwestern University.

Saira Malik, CFA, Chief Investment Officer, Nuveen

Ms. Malik is Nuveen's Chief Investment Officer (CIO). In this role, she drives weekly market and investment insights and delivers client asset allocation views from across the firm’s investment teams. Saira also leads the Global Investment Committee (GIC), bringing together Nuveen's most senior investment leaders to deliver the best thinking and actionable portfolio allocation ideas for our clients across institutional and wealth channels. As Chair of the Equities Investment Council (EIC), she authors a monthly market commentary. Additionally, Saira is portfolio manager for $100+ billion in equity strategies. She also serves as the sole manager of a multi billion global equity portfolio.
