Andrew Batsakis leads the University of Sydney’s private equity and venture capital program, which he has built and managed since its inception in 2006. He is responsible for portfolio construction and manager selection across buyouts, growth equity, venture capital, special situations, and secondaries, with a strong U.S. focus. The program represents approximately 30% of the University’s $3 billion endowment.
A senior member of the investment office, Andrew has also overseen strategies across public equities, hedge funds and real assets.
Earlier in his career, he worked as a lawyer and corporate foreign exchange dealer. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (with honors) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder.

Based in Chicago, he oversees a global team of 30 investment professionals across Chicago and London and serves on multiple internal committees, including the Management, Capital Allocation, Private Investment, and Performance Committees.
Keehn joined Allstate in 2003 as global head of private equity and helped establish the firm’s London-based investment affiliate. He previously held roles at Waud Capital Partners, Northwestern Investment Management Company, and LaSalle Partners (now JLL). He holds an AB from Brown University, an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and is a CFA charterholder.
