Adam Raleigh is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Markets Group, the world’s leading conference organizer serving the investment management industry. Mr. Raleigh founded the firm in 2009. Since then, Markets Group has grown to 90 team members and offices in New York, London and Singapore. Markets Group has run nearly 500 conferences in the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East and has been recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. through ranking in the Inc 500. Additionally, Markets Group publishes Institutional Allocator Magazine - the leading print magazine for the institutional investor community in the United States.
Mr. Raleigh is a board member of Trout Unlimited’s Coldwater Conservation Fund (TU), Friends of the Upper Delaware River (FUDR) and Friends of Mount Sinai
Prior to Markets Group, Mr. Raleigh was a fixed income broker and developed investor education programs for IMN-Euromoney, Institutional Investor Awards and other leading firms focused on the needs of investors worldwide. Additionally, Mr. Raleigh has held series 7 and 63 licenses.
Mr. Raleigh, a native of Cleveland, OH, is a graduate of Kent State University, where he earned a B.A. in Finance.
Adena, a New York native, contributes to the production and program management of the U.S. Private Wealth Series through content formulation, investor relations and event planning. Prior to Markets Group, Adena reported and provided editorial assistance for InvestmentWires, a financial publication based in New York City.
Adena graduated from Pace University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a Journalism concentration.
Mr. Ortiz heads the production practice at Markets Group. He’s been Head of Production for Institutional Events in LatAm and leads the Production EMEA team. Mr. Ortiz studied Political Science in Madison, Wisconsin and mastered in International Political Economy at New York University. Prior to joining Markets Group, Mr. Ortiz managed account relations at ACCION USA in New York, worked as an independent researcher in Curitiba, Brazil and handled management and financial services for different enterprises in Wisconsin. Mr. Ortiz was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia and is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portuguese.
Ann is responsible for production and program management for the U.S. Private Wealth team. Prior to joining Markets Group, Ann worked as an educator in Indiana and New York public schools. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in 2015 and joined Markets Group in November 2017.
Mr. Friedberg heads up Markets Group’s Sponsor Relationships and Client Development throughout the world. Prior to Markets Group, he spent ten years in wealth management working with both retail and institutional investors in dealing with a wide array of financial instruments. Mr. Friedberg graduated from Binghamton University with a BS degree in Financial Economics and also attended Fordham Law School.
Mr. Intemann is responsible for production as well as investor relations. Prior to Markets Group he worked for an events and marketing company. He graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2016 with a BA in Economics.
Chris Glynn is a member of the Institutional Forums production team at Markets Group, having previously worked for its U.S. Private Wealth group. Prior to Markets Group, he headed financial communication for the New York Society of Security Analysts (now CFA Society New York). A longtime editorial and financial professional, he graduated from Montclair State University before joining Institutional Investor, Thomson Reuters and PEI Media.
After wearing different hats, Giseli now oversees all logistics & operations for Markets Group globally. Prior to Markets Group, she has held positions with Banco Nossa Caixa (Banco do Brasil), Santander Bank and UNICAMP (University of Campinas). Giseli is currently an MBA candidate at the University of Sao Paulo. She earned a BA Degree in Business and Marketing from Escola Superior de Administração e Comunicação in Brazil, an MA Degree in Economics and International Business from the City University of New York, and has attended executive classes at NYU and Columbia University.
Mr. Peet is Co-Head of North American Institutional Production & Investor Relations at Markets Group. He is responsible for overlooking the production of sixteen annual events and for managing key relationships with Public & Corporate Pension Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Endowments, Foundations, Insurance Companies, Healthcare Systems, and Institutional Consultanting Firms. Mr. Peet has been with the company since April 2016. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at College of Charleston in 2012 and initially pursued a career in Marine Biology. For two years, he worked with NOAA to manage conservation efforts of the Northeast Atlantic fishery.
Mr. Zajas is responsible for marketing outreach and new business development across all all sectors (Real Estate, Private Equity, Alternatives, Private Wealth, and Institutional Investor Teams). He is responsible for generating new leads and attracting new business to these sectors through various marketing tactics. He also responsible for in house data development and marketing budgets.
He has previously worked in the financial sector at Bank of America. He holds a degree in International Business from Canisius College in Buffalo.
Karishna manages programs in the Latin America and Europe event series through content formulation, investor relations and event planning. Previously, she coordinated and managed strategic promotional partnerships at Markets Group to generate leads across all sectors (Real Estate, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Private Wealth, Energy & Infrastructure, and Institutional Investor Teams). Karishna was born and raised in the Bronx and a New York Yankees fan.
Mr. Tattersall is based in London works with our Institutional team covering sponsorship relationships for the Forums in Europe. Prior to Markets Group he was at Informa covering a diverse portfolio including Hedge Funds, Corporate Finance, Alternatives and Energy and Infrastructure. Mr. Tattersall graduated with a BA in International Relations from the University of Leeds.
Mr. Laurent is responsible for production as well as investor relations across Europe for multi-asset and asset-specific meetings. Prior to Markets Group, he was a Business Development Specialist for consulting firms in Singapore, Bangkok and Jakarta. Mr. Laurent has graduated from Montpellier Business School in France and earned a Master’s degree in International Business.
Michael Martinez is a Program Manager at Markets Group. Prior to joining the company, he worked in producing dynamic informational global pharmaceutical and healthcare events. Mr. Martinez has also worked in Events and Marketing for a retail software company based in New York. Michael holds his degree from DeVry University.
Nawshad Noorkhan is responsible for the business development and client engagement across EMEA within the Private Equity Group. Prior to joining Markets Group, Nawshad was the Head of Commercial at the Financial Times based out of London and was responsible for the Wealth and Asset Management forums business globally.
Prior to this, Mr. Noorkhan has held a variety of senior commercial positions with some of the world’s leading event businesses including Terrapin, Globaldata and Euromoney PLC where he was responsible for forecasting, team management and the profitability of multiple global event portfolios.
Nawshad spends a large part of his time working closely with institutional investors, fund managers and other leading asset managers and has gained valuable experience advising on capital raising efforts in a variety of complex and emerging markets.
Ms. Gorlatova is part of the Markets Group Hedge Fund Investor team with responsibility for Institutional Investor and Family Office relations in the US Pacific Region, Midwest and New York. Prior to joining Markets Group, Ms. Gorlatova worked as a Research Associate at Euromoney Institutional Investor. Ms. Gorlatova earned a Bachelor in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and Investments.
Ms. Gorlatova can be contacted for investor participation in the Hedge Fund Investor Meetings in San Francisco, Chicago and New York.
Orlanda Poblete has been in Singapore for more than 8 years now. She has sold delegate seats, as well as sponsorship sales for three different leading event companies based in Singapore. She is now working with Markets Group, Singapore as a Delegate Relations Associate, handling the areas of Institutional Forums, Private Wealth Events, and Alternative Series in APAC.
Ms. Poblete is born and raised in Manila, Philippines. A Mass Communication graduate, having English and Tagalog as her major languages.
Paola Segura heads up Markets Group’s Singapore office and oversees the Asia Pacific business. She has experience in Investor Relations, engaging with Institutional and Private Wealth investors through investment meetings to aid them with strategic manager selection. Prior to moving to Singapore, Paola was responsible for Markets Group’s Institutional client relationships in the EMEA region assisting asset managers in building relationships with pension funds, endowments, foundations, insurance companies and investment consultants.
Ms. Segura is both Colombian and American and was raised in France. She speaks Spanish, English and French, and holds a degree in Industrial Engineering.
Mr. Egan heads up Markets Group’s Delegate Sales efforts throughout the world and is also responsible for sponsorship sales within the Private Equity Group. Prior to working for Markets Group, Mr. Egan played baseball at Southern Connecticut State University in Connecticut. Mr. Egan holds a BS degree in Finance from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT.
Mr. Raleigh is responsible for financial management and strategic planning for Markets Group. Prior to MG, he held financial and management positions at Progressive Insurance. Mr. Raleigh graduated with honors in Political Science at Kent State University in Ohio.
Tom Hind is responsible for business develpment across the US Private Wealth Forum Group. Prior to joining the Markets Group, Mr. Hind was the Director of Sales for the RIA Institute at Institutional Investor. Prior to Institutional Investor, Mr. Hind spent over a decade in asset management distribution with such firms as AllianceBernstein, JP Morgan and J&W Seligman. Mr. Hind graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing.
Tony Patryn is responsible for the management and execution of all IT related issues relating to Markets Group and its employees, as well as being the head of the design department and branding. He is also in charge of maintaining Markets Group's technological infrastructure.
Prior to joining the team, Mr. Patryn was Creative Director for OTRIAD Digital Marketing in NYC and Junior Art Director for Brierton Design in Chicago, in which he was an essential asset to the company winning multiple awards for integrated marketing campaigns.
Mr. Patryn holds an Associates Degree of Applied Sciences in Graphic Design and Multimedia from Westwood College of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Columbia College in Chicago.
Mr. Coba is Co-Head of North American Institutional Investor Relations at Markets Group. He is responsible for key relationships with direct allocators within US Public & Corporate Pension Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Consultants, Endowments / Foundations, Insurance Companies & Healthcare Systems to aid them in increasing their portfolio efficiency and investment returns through strategic manager selection. Mr. Coba has eight-plus years of industry experience, including a tenure as an assistant vice president within the global consultant relations at Nuveen / TIAA, and as a senior relationship manager for US and international investment banks, hedge funds and other asset managers building relationships with institutional asset owners globally. His background includes experience in domestic and international business development, investor relations, capital introduction & event management with senior buy & sell side investment professionals, high net worth individuals and C-level executives for B2B conferences, private charter aviation and general client relations efforts. Mr. Coba attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology where he majored in international business and Marketing.
William is Head of People Ops with Markets Group in NYC. He is heavily involved with our foreign operations in the UK and Singapore, and enjoys navigating the difficult landscapes that different cultures and ecosystems present in the world of business. Prior to this, William managed a youth gymnastics facility where he taught several classes a day with ages ranging from 3-12 years old. In his spare time, he enjoys making music, rock-climbing and bowling. William earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where he studied Management and Business Administration.
