KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Wilbur Ross, Jr., 39th Secretary of Commerce, United States of America

Mr. Ross, Jr. has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Ross Acquisition. Corp. II since inception in January 2021. Prior to Ross Acquisition Corp. II, Wilbur Ross was sworn in by Vice President Mike Pence as the 39th Secretary of Commerce on February 28, 2017. Secretary Ross was the principal voice of business in the Trump Administration, ensuring that U.S. entrepreneurs and businesses have the tools they need to create jobs and economic opportunity. Secretary Ross is the former Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of WL Ross & Co. LLC and has over 55 years of investment banking and private equity experience. He has restructured over $400 billion of assets in the airline, apparel, auto parts, banking, beverage, chemical, credit card, electric utility, food service, furniture, gypsum, homebuilding, insurance, marine transport, mortgage origination and servicing, oil and gas, railcar manufacturing and leasing, real estate, restaurant, shipyard, steel, textile and trucking industries. Secretary Ross has been chairman or lead director of more than 100 companies operating in more than 20 different countries.

Scott Stone, Chief Investment Officer, Pentegra

Mr. Stone serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Pentegra Services, where he and his team are responsible for asset allocation and management of the investment processes governing over $13 billion in assets, comprised of both public and private holdings of fixed income, equity, real estate, hedge funds and other alternative investments. As Chief Investment Officer, he is responsible for developing short-term and long-term investment policies and processes for the organization’s various investment platforms. Before arriving at Pentegra in 2011, Scott spent much of his 30-year career working in insurance industry working under various Asset-Liability Management (ALM) and Liability-Driven Investment (LDI) programs. He began managing investments for his first pension and endowment clients in 1990.

Michael Forestner, Global Co-Chief Investment Officer, Private Markets, Mercer

Michael is the Global Co-CIO, Private Markets for Mercer Investments and serves on the Investment Committees for Private Equity, Private Debt, and Sustainable Opportunities. His duties include providing private market portfolio management and advisory services to institutional clients, and he serves as a portfolio manager for the Mercer Private Investment Partners series of multi manager private market funds. He earned both his BBA and MBA degrees from the University of Georgia, with an emphasis in finance. He has received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and is a member of the CFA Institute. 

Shannon Saccocia, Chief Investment Officer, Neuberger Berman Private Wealth

Shannon Saccocia, CFA, is the Chief Investment Officer of NB Private Wealth ("NBPW"), a division of Neuberger Berman. In her role, Ms. Saccocia works closely with investment leadership across Neuberger Berman to establish market views, asset allocation and portfolio recommendations tailored specifically for NBPW clients. She is also responsible for leading the NBPW investment platform to enable comprehensive delivery of the firm's investment capabilities. Prior to joining Neuberger Berman in 2023, she was the Chief Investment Officer for five years for SVB Private and Boston Private Wealth, which SVB acquired in July 2021. In this capacity, she oversaw all investment management functions, including portfolio construction, asset allocation, third-party manager selection, equity and fixed income portfolio management, performance and trading. Previously, she had senior roles at Banyan Partners and Silver Bridge Advisors focused on manager selection and portfolio construction.

Shannon received her BA in Economics and History from Brandeis University, and has been awarded both the Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Investment Management Analyst® designations.

Christopher T. Battifarano, CFA, CAIA, Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer, FineMark National Bank & Trust

Christopher T. Battifarano is a Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at FineMark National Bank & Trust since June 2016. He has 20 years of experience in asset allocation and portfolio construction. Mr. Battifarano serves on the following bank committees: Asset Liability, Investment Policy, and Trust. He is responsible for the investment process and philosophy while leading the Bank’s strategic and tactical investment recommendations.

Prior to FineMark, Mr. Battifarano was Director of Research for GenSpring Family Offices/Suntrust Bank in Jupiter, Florida, where he led the firm’s manager due diligence efforts around both alternative and traditional strategies. Mr. Battifarano earned bachelor, MBA, and BBA degrees from the University of Miami and has earned both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations. He is also a member of The South Florida Society of Financial Analysts. He is based in FineMark’s Palm Beach office.

Yung-Yu Ma, Ph.D, Chief Investment Officer, BMO Wealth Management

Yung-Yu Ma is the Chief Investment Officer for BMO Wealth Management in the U.S. and joined the organization in 2016. As Chief Investment Strategist, he is responsible for guiding strategic and tactical asset allocations for client portfolios and leads a team that conducts macroeconomic and market analysis, and also modeling across asset classes.

Yung-Yu is frequently cited in print media including the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, Barron’s, the Financial Times, etc., and has regular television appearances on CNBC, CNBC Asia, and Yahoo Finance TV.

Prior to joining BMO, Yung-Yu was a finance professor at Lehigh University, where he taught courses in equities, fixed income, and derivatives. His academic studies have been cited in leading finance journals (including the Journal of Finance), top law journals, the Wall Street Journal, the Handbook of High Frequency Trading, and in the Oxford Handbook of Corporate Governance

Steven Eisman, Managing Director, Neuberger Berman

Steven Eisman, Managing Director, joined the firm in 2014. Steven is a Senior Portfolio Manager for the Eisman Group, within the firm’s Private Asset Management division. Prior to joining the firm, he was the founder and portfolio manager of Emrys Partners, L.P. Previously, Steven was a partner and the senior portfolio manager of the FrontPoint Financial Services Fund, which began operations in March 2004, and the FrontPoint Financial Horizons Fund, which began operations in January 2006. Earlier in his career, Steven also served as a managing director and senior financial services analyst at Chilton Investment Co. He held the same role at Oppenheimer & Co. within the Investment Bank, Asset Management and Specialty Finance divisions. Since 2004, he has been a Portfolio Manager. Steven holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and his JD from Harvard Law School.
