UniSuper Appoints Wade Martin as Chief Risk Officer

UniSuper, the renowned fund accessible to all Australians, is delighted to announce the appointment of Wade Martin as its new Chief Risk Officer, effective from February 21, 2024. Bringing over 15 years of valuable experience in risk management within the financial services sector, Wade most recently served as the Chief Risk Officer at CBUS. He steps into the role, succeeding Andrew Raftis, who retired at the conclusion of 2023 after contributing three years of dedicated service to UniSuper. Wade's extensive background includes a significant tenure at CBUS since 2013 and eight years at KPMG in various audit and risk consulting positions within the financial services domain. He holds academic credentials, including a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University of Wellington, NZ.

UniSuper CEO, Peter Chun, said, “Wade's lived risk experience, understanding of the superannuation sector, strategic mindset and leadership were stand-out attributes during the selection process. He will be a valuable addition to our executive leadership team and our fund as a whole."
