Nuveen Real Estate, a major global real estate investment manager overseeing assets worth $152 billion, has bolstered its European debt team with the addition of two new senior hires.
Caroline Pellmann, who previously worked at Berlin Hyp, has joined as Senior Director. In her new role, she will be responsible for sourcing and executing mortgage-backed senior loans in Germany and Central Europe. Pellmann, an experienced real estate investment professional with almost 20 years of diverse experience and a strong legal, origination, and capital raising background, will operate primarily from Nuveen’s Frankfurt office. Her main focus is on supporting Nuveen’s pan-European debt strategies by overseeing loan deals in Germany and across continental Europe.
Meanwhile, Karolina Wojtowicz has also joined the team as Director. Coming from LaSalle Investment Management, she brings expertise in underwriting, structuring, and executing transactions in the UK and Western Europe. Based in London, she will work alongside Peter Hansell, contributing to the origination and execution of debt financing deals in the UK and Continental Europe across various investment mandates.
In addition to the new appointments, Jason Rodrigues has been promoted to Senior Director. In this expanded role, he will lead strategic, longer-term asset management efforts, actively identifying market distress opportunities and determining necessary portfolio management initiatives.
