NOW: Pensions Appoints Fiona Matthews to Trustee Board

NOW: Pensions, a prominent workplace pensions provider catering to over two million pension savers, has welcomed Fiona Matthews to its Board of Trustee Directors, effective January 1st. In her new role within the UK's second-largest independent Auto-Enrolment scheme, Fiona will contribute to robust and independent governance, prioritizing the interests of scheme members. With over 25 years of experience in the pensions and life assurance industry, Fiona has held various senior executive roles. She is the founder of LifeSight, a highly successful UK master trust with 325,000 members and $18 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM), overseeing its global expansion.

Fiona Matthews has been actively involved in shaping pension policy, serving on the Master Trust Committee of the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) during a transformative period. Additionally, she is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Fiona's commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the pensions industry is evident through her role as a co-founder of the Inclusion & Diversity Council at WTW. Her dedication aligns with the Trustee's three stewardship themes: gender equality, climate change, and the living wage.

The timing of Fiona's appointment is significant, coinciding with a pivotal year for the NOW: Pensions scheme. Having recently surpassed £4 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM), the scheme is set to introduce a series of upgrades to its proposition for members and employers in the early summer. Fiona Matthews' wealth of experience and commitment to inclusive practices positions her as a valuable addition to the scheme's governance and strategic initiatives.
