MAA Names Brad Hill as President and CIO

Mid-America Apartment Communities, Inc. (NYSE: MAA) has announced that Bradley Hill has been promoted to the position of President and Chief Investment Officer. In his expanded role, Mr. Hill will retain his oversight of the company's development, acquisition, and disposition endeavors, while also taking on the added responsibilities of asset management, property management, and information technology operations.

Having joined MAA in 2010, Mr. Hill brings over two decades of real estate expertise in transactions, development, and operations. Previously serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, he provided oversight for the company's transactions and development operations. Mr. Hill holds a BS in Management from Tulane University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from SMU’s Cox School of Business. Additionally, he is a CFA® charterholder, a member of the Urban Land Institute (Multifamily Blue Council), and a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC).

Eric Bolton, Chairman and CEO, expressed his confidence in Brad's leadership and performance over his 13-year tenure with MAA. Under Brad's guidance, MAA has established a robust platform for external growth, consistently surpassing performance expectations. The appointment aligns with MAA's commitment to leadership development and succession planning, with an average senior leadership team tenure of 16 years.
