The Business Development Associate role involves developing relationships with clients to invite and secure their attendance to our conferences. We’re looking for a candidate to work within our existing database of “warm leads” that our marketing department has identified to ensure the attendance and success of the events. The Business Development Associate will attend events in order to facilitate their clients’ experience on-site and continue to build stronger relationships during the event. Some travel may be required. Candidate should have experience in sales and possess strong communication skills.

Primary responsibilities

  • Engage and pitch to SVP and C-Suite executives in the investment management industry
  • Identify delegate needs and consult with them; negotiate with them; perform needs analysis
  • Maintain the company’s CRM system to ensure information is accurate, relevant and up to date
  • Onsite conference management including greeting visitors, managing clients and event set up

  • Experience using CRM, ideally Pipedrive
