Key Discussion Topics

GLOBAL MARKET OUTLOOK

Our opening session will critique and contrast institutional asset allocation before and after the worldwide pandemic.

GLOBAL EQUITY AFTER COVID-19

Our equity panel will measure the true cost of the stock market crash and ask if COVID-19 reduced the indexing revolution to another too-big-to-fail enterprise.

FIXED INCOME RISK

The onset of COVID-19 has challenged the perception of the bond market as a safe-haven. Our panel will show how the difference between fixed income risk and opportunity is simply a matter of tolerance.

PRIVATE MARKET IMMUNITY

The novel coronavirus will be a Rorscharch test for the "golden age" private equity and the now $1 trillion private debt asset class.  Will criticism of value extraction in private equity and unease with limited partner default deepen amid COVID-19?

EMERGING MARKET CRISIS

The panel will discuss the current challenges across emerging markets with the onset of the corona virus.

ALPHA, ABSOLUTE AND RISK ADJUSTED RETURN

Our panel will evaluate hedge fund performance versus indexation and replication in the wake of COVID-19.

REAL ESTATE, ENERGY AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Ownership of commercial real estate and privatized infrastructure has become ubiquitous to institutional asset allocation. But the novel coronavirus is a sign of real asset risk to come.

SECURITIZATION AND STRUCTURED FINANCE

Joblessness, social distancing and shelter-in-place have ground commercial demand and consumer spending to a halt.  How can structured finance manage unprecedented default risk in the aftermath of COVID-19?

THE WARTIME CIO

The novel coronavirus has impacted not just asset allocation and portfolio management as well as staff well-being.  Our CIO Roundtable will discuss how the global pandemic has altered the chief executive officer job description--for better and worse.
