MOVE
FROM FUND INVESTING TO DIRECT/CO-INVESTING:
Direct and/or Co-Investing have become more and more popular among shrewd
institutional LPs, with generally more favorable terms, lower fees and most
importantly, better performance (potential and realized). Our panelists will
discuss what should LPs consider as they get into these partnerships, among
other considerations.
ASSET ALLOCATION & RISK MANAGEMENT:
Some argue that traditional asset
allocation has already been proven inadequate in the 08’ crisis and there has
been a paradigm shift since then which requires more sophisticated
understanding of correlations among assets. Some organizations have moved to a
risk-centric allocation model, some now allocate to strategies rather than
assets, and there are also others that focus more on liability matching. Let’s
hear more about the innovations in this area from our panelists.
Absolute
Return strategies, once the domain of hedge funds and niche investors, now sit
comfortably with many traditional asset managers and their clients. This
session will introduce Absolute Return Fixed Income strategies in general,
explain what they are and how they differ from traditional strategies, and
discuss the role they play in an investor’s portfolio.
GLOBAL
EQUITY PORTFOLIO:
Global growth expectations
and major equity market conditions could have big implications for the
performance of your global equity portfolio. For the next few quarters and
beyond, how much should we invest in U.S. stocks vs. international stocks? What
are the geographical regions, sectors and styles to overweight and underweight?
How to properly evaluate foreign company fundamentals?
and more...
