PIMCO Appoints Sung‑Hee Suh as Global General Counsel

PIMCO has appointed Sung-Hee Suh as Global General Counsel. Currently serving as PIMCO's General Counsel for Global Regulatory and Litigation, Ms. Suh, a Managing Director, is set to assume the position on January 1, 2024, succeeding David Flattum, Managing Director, who has held the role for the past 17 years. Mr. Flattum will continue his association with PIMCO as a consultant throughout 2024.

At PIMCO, Ms. Suh has served as an executive sponsor of PIMCO LEAP, the firm's employee resource group dedicated to advancing the development and representation of Asian and Pacific Islander employees. Additionally, she is set to become a member of PIMCO's 2024 Managing Director Inclusion & Diversity Advisory Council. With over 33 years of legal and compliance expertise, Ms. Suh joined PIMCO in 2018, transitioning from the global law firm White and Case LLP, where she held the position of head of the New York white-collar litigation practice. Prior to that, she served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General, Criminal Division, at the U.S. Department of Justice, overseeing 180-plus prosecutors and managing federal criminal cases, including securities fraud and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act matters.
