Lou Fernandes Becomes The Museum of Modern Art's New CIO

The Museum of Modern Art hired Lou Fernandes as their new Chief Investment Officer, luring him away from his 6-year post as New York University’s managing director. He’ll manage the $1.8 billion in endowment, pension and retirement plans. Fernandes takes over for Tony Wai, who left mid-year in 2022. Fernandes also worked as an OCIO for Hall Capital partners, and in finance at Yahoo!, McAfee, and Intel Corp. He holds a bachelors degree in business and managerial economics from the University of California, Davis; an MBA from Stanford University School of Business and an MA in Education Policy, also from Stanford University.
