JP Morgan Asset Management Appoints Ayaz Ebrahim as South East Asia CEO

JP Morgan Asset Management has named Ayaz Ebrahim as the CEO for Singapore and South East Asia (SEA). Ebrahim will succeed Sherene Ban, who is relocating to Europe to assume the role of head of Continental Europe institutional.

Ebrahim will focus on strengthening client relationships and furthering the firm's robust growth trajectory in Singapore and SEA. Currently serving as a portfolio manager and co-head of the APAC regional team in the emerging markets and Asia Pacific (EMAP) Equities division, Ebrahim will maintain his investment responsibilities within the EMAP team. He will report to both Dan Watkins, APAC CEO, and Anuj Arora, Head of EMAP Equities team at JPMAM.

Ebrahim became part of JPMAM in 2015, bringing with him a wealth of experience from other financial institutions, including Amundi, Deutsche Bank, and HSBC. JPMAM highlights his pivotal role in expanding the firm's EMAP business, where he has led the team to achieve remarkable investment performance.
