The Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System has appointed Jenine Krause senior managing director of portfolio management and operations for the pension plan’s infrastructure division, effective July 1.
In her new role, Krause will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of OMERS Infrastructure’s global operating strategy. She will also join the fund’s infrastructure management and investment committees.
Krause joined the investment organization in 2022 from Enercare Inc., where she served in various roles, including as chief operating officer from 2016 to 2018, as well as president and chief executive officer from 2018 to 2021 when she transitioned to its board. Before her career at Enercare, Krause worked at Bell for seven years, serving in several senior roles including vice-president of field services, senior vice-president of Bell Business Markets, and executive, fiber to the home residential services.
Up until 2024, she spent a decade as the co-chair of Toronto’s Young People’s Theatre, and she was a board member for Northwestel from 2012 to 2016. Krause was also a board member of LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services from 2022 to 2024. She currently sits on the board for both Beanfield and Puget Sound Energy.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria and an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
