The Cleveland Clinic Investment Office has named Joseph Elegante managing director of public equities.
Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic, Elegante served as a portfolio manager at UBS Global Asset Management for nearly a decade. Previously, he worked as a portfolio manager for RMB Capital Management and as a senior vice president and portfolio manager for Alliance Growth Equities.
The investment office is also searching for an investment analyst to work with Elegante, confirmed Stefan Strein, the chief investment officer at Cleveland Clinic, in a LinkedIn post.
“This asset class has driven returns (and risk!) for the portfolio over the past decade, and I can’t wait to see what Joe is going to do with it in the next ten years,” wrote Strein in the post. “His experience at UBS is going to be a tremendous advantage as we creatively build and expand the relationships with our existing investment partners.”
