Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is stepping into sports ownership, joining the investor group behind Boston Legacy Football Club, a new National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) franchise set to debut in 2026.
Through his private investment firm, 888 Midas, which focuses on venture capital, private equity, and real estate, Williams is adding women’s soccer to his growing business interests. The 2024 NFL first overall draft pick praised the NWSL’s efforts to expand opportunities for women in sports, saying Boston Legacy is “building something special” and that he’s proud to support the movement.
Williams joins a growing list of celebrities and athletes investing in women’s professional soccer, underscoring the sport’s rising profile and commercial potential across the U.S.
