Previously, he served as CEO of CMB Wing Lung Asset Management. His investment career spans roles at Westpac, Acacia Capital, Nomura Securities, Lehman Brothers, and J.P. Morgan, covering multiple asset classes. With extensive experience across global financial institutions.

Christian is the Regional Head of ALM, Investment & Capital Management for Asia at Ageas. He used to manage the balance sheet assets of approx. AUD 6 billion for Zurich Australia. Prior to this, he was the CIO of the Emerging Market countries for MetLife Asia Investment in 2011 as the CIO of HK to manage the asset for HK entity, he moved to the regional office in MetLife in 2014 and headed up the 6 emerging market countries for MetLife in Asia as the Emerging Market CIO. The emerging countries are including Australia, HK, Malaysia, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Nepal. He has been managing Insurance assets for over 10 years and been in the investment management industry for 23 years.

He introduced an end -to-end investment system to enhance performance and risk efficiency. He also supports internal teams on investment and hedging strategies, contributing to insurance product design, capital optimization, and solvency management across internal and external mandates.

Sam Morgan is the Chief Investment Officer of AIA Hong Kong and Macau being responsible for the both the investment and ALM activities of the general account business. He oversees the strategic and tactical asset allocations process, the hedging needs of the business including the associated collateral and cash management, and oversees the performance of our internal and external managers. Sam has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance business having worked in Hong Kong, Paris, London and Sydney.
