The 5th Annual Private Wealth Switzerland Zürich Forum is the region's leading conference for family offices, high net worth wealth managers and private banks from throughout the region and one of the flagship meetings of our global private wealth series. The Forum’s content was developed through hundreds of one-on-one meetings with the HNW family wealth management community and the program's speaker faculty is primarily comprised of leaders in the sector from across Switzerland.

Our agenda covers asset allocation and protection, equity markets, fixed income, alternative investments, as well as succession planning and an outlook of the financial markets and the global economy. This event is completely closed door and invitation only, and it has been designed to enable genuine peer-to-peer learning and networking for the regional private wealth community.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Burkhard Varnholt, Deputy Global Chief Investment Officer & Vice-Chairman of the Investment Committee, Credit Suisse Group

Burkhard P. Varnholt is the Vice-Chairman of the Credit Suisse Global Investment Committee and Chief Investment Officer of the Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd., as well as a member of its extended Management Committee. Burkhard has more than twenty years of investment management- and leadership experience, more than ten of which he served at Credit Suisse. He ran large portfolios for private- and institutional investors around the globe. Burkhard P. Varnholt gained his doctorate at the University of St. Gallen, taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Stern School of Business, New York University. He published several books on investing and numerous articles. In 2004, Burkhard founded the charity ‘Kids of Africa’, which runs an orphanage for homeless children in Uganda (www.kids-of-africa.com). In 2006 he was awarded the Swiss Re Civilian Services Prize. In 2012 received an honorary doctorate (Dr. h.c.) in International Relations from the Geneva School of Diplomacy for his work in connection with this project. As part of his support to cultural activities, Burkhard also serves as a member of the Tate's Africa Acquisitions Committee (AAC).


Michael Strobaek, Global Chief Investment Officer, Credit Suisse

Michael Strobaek is the Chairman of the Global Investment Committee and the Global Chief Investment Officer at Credit Suisse AG. Mr. Strobaek has more than 20 years of investment management experience, directing investment portfolios internationally for institutional and UHNW clients. Between 1996 and 2009, Mr. Strobaek was with UBS, where he was the Head of Investment Management for UBS Wealth Management and, prior to that, the Global Head of Investment Solutions. He also served as a member of the UBS Group Managing Board in 2007.Mr. Strobaek holds a M.Sc. degree in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, and a CEMS Master in Finance from the University of Cologne, Germany.
