The 14th Annual Private Equity Latin America Forum is Latin America's leading private markets investment conference.

The forum brings together investors, fund managers, and advisers for a two-day meeting to discuss sectors, due diligence, and private equity investment opportunities in Latin America and around the world.

The investor-focused event provides a due diligence platform for international and South American pension funds, foundations, endowments, fund of funds, family offices, wealth managers, consultants, and sovereign wealth funds interested in direct research on private investment opportunities.

Session topics cover the entire spectrum of private equity investments, from sector-specific sessions on venture capital investments in Brazil and Latin America, to discussions on global buyout opportunities, and roundtables of the biggest global Latin American institutional investors discussing their specific investment appetites.



KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Adriana Barbosa, CEO, Feira Preta Hub

Mrs. Barbosa is the founder of Feira Preta, the largest cultural and entrepreneurship event in Latin America, and CEO of PretaHub. In 2017, she was honored with Lázaro Ramos and Taís Araújo as the 51 most influential black people under the age of 40 in the world according to Mipad, a world award recognized by the UN. Among her recognitions are the Social Entrepreneur, Claudia, State of São Paulo for the Arts and Yes to Racial Equality awards. In 2020, she was recognized as the first black woman among the World's Social Innovators of the Year by the World Economic Forum and joined the Schwab Network's team of social entrepreneurs. Through the Conversando a Gente se Aprendiz program, Adriana consults on diversity and racial inclusion in companies such as Netflix, Facebook, Google, Pão de Açúcar, Natura, MAC and Avon. Currently, she is also a member of the boards of Sistema B, Instituto Ethos, GIFE, Instituto C & A and is part of the racial equality committees of AMBEV and Carrefour. 

Ciro Gomes, Former Finance Minister, Former Minister of the Department of National Integration, Former Governor of Ceará, Brazil

Mr. Gomes was born into a family with a long history of involvement in Brazilian politics, and is himself a career politician and lawyer. At the age of 24, he began his political career as a state deputy in Ceará with the Democratic Social Party (PDS). In 1989, he became the mayor of Fortaleza, Ceará’s capital. In 1990, Ciro was elected state governor running as a candidate of the Social Democracy Party (PSDB). During his terms as mayor and as governor, he was considered one of the most popular leaders in Brazil, according to a number of surveys by Datafolha and Ibope. In 1994, Ciro was appointed to be the economic minister by then-President Itamar Franco   where he presided over the ongoing Real Plan that eventually stabilized the economy and ended hyperinflation. Ciro ran for president in 1998, 2002, 2018 and 2022. He was the Minister of the Department of National Integration during Lula’s administration in 2003. Later, he served as a federal deputy, starting in 2006. 

Henrique Meirelles, Finance Secretary, São Paulo State Government

Mr. Meirelles was the longest-serving president of the Central Bank of Brazil between 2003 and 2011, a period of economic growth, job creation and inflation control, and helped to pull Brazil out of the deepest recession in its history. In the private sector, he worked for 28 years at the Bank of Boston and is the only Brazilian to hold the role of Global President. He was also Chairman of the investment bank Lazard Americas, Senior Advisor at KKR, and Chair-man of Lloyds of London. In 2002, he was elected as the most voted congressman in the his-tory of his home state of Goiás. In 2018, Meirelles ran for the Brazilian Presidency, receiving 1.3 million votes all over the country. He graduated from the University of São Paulo (USP) with a master’s degree in economics and master’s degree in administration from the UFRJ.
