Danny Lee is an investor with over 25 years of global private equity experience. He currently manages VCA Capital Fund I, helping individuals and family offices manage private equity portfolios. Danny is a senior advisor to Blue Pool Capital and was a managing director at Bain Capital. He holds a BA in Economics from Columbia and is a CFA Charter holder. Danny is an Aspen Finance Fellow, Edmund Hillary Fellow, and sits on various boards and committees, including the HK Venture Capital and Private Equity Association and Seed Foundation, a youth education NGO.

Dennis is the Chief Investment Officer of YF Life and is responsible for the overall investment functions, including strategic & tactical asset allocation, portfolio management, and hedging of YF Life’s investment portfolio. He oversees the investment strategies and performance of various asset classes including high-grade fixed income, public equity, and alternative investments managed by the internal team and
external asset managers. Since Dennis joined YF Life, he revamped the investment management process with the introduction of an end-to-end investment system, allowing technology-enabled investment decision-making processes to improve investment performance and risk management efficiency. He is also actively involved in providing investment & hedging solutions internally to drive insurance product design, risk capital, and solvency management.


Dennis has over 19 years of experience in various investment organizations including insurance companies, asset management firms, private equity fund managers, and family offices. He has extensive knowledge and experience in multi-asset management. He holds a Bachelor of Economics & Finance from the University of Hong Kong and is also a holder of Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designations.

Dr Isaac Poole is Oreana’s Chief Investment Officer and brings a wealth of knowledge from high profile financial positions to his critical role.

With a career spanning central banking, risk management, asset allocation and investment consulting, Isaac has held positions including Chief Economist at NSW Treasury Corporation where he was tasked with debt financing and investment management for the NSW Government; and Manager of Economic Risk at Lloyds Banking Group.

 

Prior to joining Oreana, Issac was the Head of Capital Markets Research APAC at Willis Towers Watson where he contributed to asset allocation decisions, macro-economic analysis and investment research for a global company with more than $107 billion in assets under management and $2.3 trillion assets under advisory.

 

He has worked with major sovereign wealth funds, government agencies and pension funds.

 

Isaac holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Sydney and studied at the University of Oxford and the University of Tasmania. He is a Certified Investment Management Analyst® holder through the Investment and Wealth Institute™.

Jayne Bok is Head of Investments, Asia, at WTW, based in Hong Kong. She leads the regional strategy, client delivery, and business development, helping clients achieve better outcomes through advisory, proprietary tools, and delegated solutions. With over 23 years of experience, she previously headed Sovereign Advisory, working with SWFs, central banks, and government entities across Asia. Before moving to Hong Kong in 2013, she spent nine years in Korea, where she established WTW’s local investment consultancy. Starting her career as a Talent consultant in Korea, Jayne joined Hong Kong’s Investments practice in 2004, building a strong foundation in the industry.

Jethro is responsible for overall investment activities and portfolio management of the FWD Life Insurance Company (Bermuda) Limited, FWD Life Macau, and FWD General Insurance, as well as supervision of the investment team and supporting the FWD Financial Planning advisory business. He plays a central role in managing, repositioning and optimising investments across different asset classes and all portfolios. He is also responsible for portfolio strategy across the Group to drive portfolio performance through investment ideas and asset allocation. Jethro has over 20 years of experience in financial services, across actuarial and investment management. Before joining FWD Group, Jethro was Head of Asian Credit and Deputy CIO for Aviva Investors Asia for 7 years managing fixed income portfolios and delivering multi-asset solutions. Prior to this he managed investment portfolios across the Asia Pacific region at Deutsche Asset Management and AMP Capital. His career started at AMP Financial Services as an actuarial analyst for defined benefit superannuation plans. Jethro has a Bachelor of Economics in Actuarial Studies from Macquarie University, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia and a Fellow of the Singapore Actuarial Society.

Nick Pollard is a seasoned leader with over 15 years of international finance experience in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Currently, he is helping drive CAIA Association’s expansion in this key market, leveraging his expertise in business development and his passion for training the next generation of finance professionals. Nick's career includes a successful seven-year tenure as Managing Director for the CFA Institute in APAC, where he worked closely with institutional partners, employers, universities, and regulators. Prior to joining the CFA Institute, Nick held senior leadership roles at The Royal Bank of Scotland’s Coutts Asia division, where he served as CEO, and later, as Head of International Learning and Professional Development for Coutts International. His career began with NatWest Group where he honed his skills in marketing and talent development. Nick has lived and worked in the APAC region for nearly two decades, positioning him at the forefront of the region's economic and demographic shifts. His deep understanding of the growing demand for private capital investments particularly in infrastructure, real assets, private equity, venture capital, and private credit makes him an invaluable asset to CAIA's efforts in APAC. Richard Chan is the Chief Investment and Asset-Liability Management (ALM) Officer at CTF Life, a member of Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited. He leads the investment and ALM activities at CTF Life, which include strategic asset allocation, tactical asset allocation, hedging strategies and
liquidity management. His team is responsible for the selection and trading of securities within the company’s directly managed portfolios, covering rates, credit, equities and derivatives. He also manages the selection and oversight of external managers for the delegated portfolios.
Before to his role at CTF Life, Richard served as the HK Chief Investment Officer and Asia Head of ALM of AXA. Before that, he held positions as the Capital and Investment Actuary in Prudential Hong Kong and the Chief Risk Officer of Aviva HK. Richard is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a CFA charterholder and an FRM charterholder.

He oversees the strategic and tactical asset allocations process, the hedging needs of the business including the associated collateral and cash management, and oversees the performance of our internal and external managers.  Sam has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance business having worked in Hong Kong, Paris, London and Sydney.

Shiuan Ting, or better known as ST, is the Chief Investment Office for Sun Life’s International HuBS. She is responsible for the Insurance General Accounts in Hong Kong, Bermuda/International and Singapore. She leads the Investment Function and she has overall responsibility for all investment matters, investment portfolios and investment performances. ST looks after various insurance assets including fixed income, equities and real estate. She works in direct investments, introduces new asset classes and strategies, and she also manages assets via external asset managers. She has close to 20 years working experience. She is an actuary by training and she is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. She branched into insurance investment over 10 years ago. She started her career in London, UK, spent a year in Singapore and moved to Hong Kong in 2016. She joined Sun Life in Hong Kong in 2018.

Simon co-founded and is the Chief Executive Officer of Peak Capital Management, a multi-asset alternative fund manager, that strive to provide tailored investment strategies to accredited investors. He served as Chief Executive Officer of RHB Asset Management Pte. Ltd. between June 2020 and May 2024 and also headed up the Alternative Investment of RHB Asset Management Group. Prior to this appointment, Simon was the CEO/Managing Director of CCB International (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (an investment arm of China Construction Bank) since 2016, after leaving Shanda Group, a private investment holding company where he heads up the Multi-Asset Investment activities. Prior to Shanda Group, Simon was Pan Asia Deputy Chief Investment Officer of AXA Rosenberg Investment Management, which is 100% owned by AXA Investment Managers, where he started his Investment Management career in 2001. He has served in the Singapore, United States of America and Japan office in his 15 years of service in the firm. His prior appointment at the firm have included Head of Investment Japan, Head of Portfolio Management in Asia Pacific, senior global product strategist, US strategy engineer and Asia Pacific portfolio engineer. Simon obtained his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. Before her appointment in 2021, Holtze-Jen was Global Chief Currency Strategist, Portfolio Manager, at Deutsche Bank’s asset management arm DWS, where she coordinated a team covering currency macro, positioning and technical analysis, which guided the portfolio managers’ foreign-exchange strategy. Based in Singapore, she is responsible for the development of the Asia insights and contribution to the house view of Deutsche Bank Private Bank. Prior to DWS, Holtze-Jen held different leadership roles at Commerzbank AG and Royal Bank of Canada in Hong Kong, Singapore, and London.
