Aaron Bennett is UPP’s CIO and leads all aspects of UPP’s global investment strategy and operations. A seasoned portfolio manager, Aaron brings over 16 years of investment experience, with expertise in strategic asset allocation and responsible investing. Across his roles at Jarislowsky Fraser Global Investment Management, OTPP, and mid-sized Canadian investment banks, Aaron has supported systemic and robust investment analysis, policy formulation and strategic implementation across portfolios and asset classes. Aaron holds a B.Sc Honours (Biology) from Queen’s University, an MBA from the Ivey School of Business Western University, and is a CFA Charterholder.

James C. Davis is Chief Investment Officer of OPTrust, one of Canada’s largest pension funds with net assets over $25 billion and investment professionals in Toronto, London and Sydney. James joined OPTrust in 2015. He leads the organization’s investment strategy and oversees its diversified portfolio spanning the globe with capital market, private equity, infrastructure, and real estate assets in North America, Europe, Developed Asia and emerging markets. James has more than 30 years of investment, risk management and leadership experience. Prior to joining OPTrust, he held the role of Vice President, Strategy & Asset Mix and Chief Economist at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. James believes investment outcomes are best achieved when investment strategy is aligned with clearly defined investment objectives. He is a strong proponent for a Total Portfolio Approach. His main areas of interest include investment strategy and portfolio design, global marcro and systematic investing, private market value creation and creating high performing investing teams. James has also served as the President of FuturesTrend Capital Corporation in Prince Edward Island and Vice President & Head, Global Fixed Income & Currencies at RBC Global Investment Management in Toronto. Before embarking on a career in investments, he worked as a Meteorologist with Environment Canada. In addition to degrees in Mathematics and Meteorology, James holds an MBA in Finance from Dalhousie University and is a CFA charterholder.

Executive Vice President, Head of Total Portfolio

Kenton Bradbury is Executive Vice-President and Head of Total Portfolio Management at OMERS. His responsibilities include trading, portfolio analytics and determining the appropriate capital allocation and portfolio construction for the OMERS investment portfolio. He joined OMERS in June 2015 in London as part of the OMERS Infrastructure team, and moved to Toronto in 2019. He joined Capital Markets in 2021.

Kenton previously served as a Director at Infracapital (the infrastructure investment arm of M&G Investments), where he sat on the boards of various portfolio companies. Prior to Infracapital, he was SVP, Infrastructure and Regulation at e.on, based in Germany. He began his career as a consultant working in the utilities and space sectors, and has held various senior operational and strategic roles.

Kenton has a First Class Honours degree in engineering from Cambridge University, has attended the program for management development at Harvard, and is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Rossitsa leads IMCO’s investment team and oversees all global investment activities, including portfolio construction, asset allocation and strategic partnerships.

Prior to IMCO, Rossitsa was Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Design & Construction at CPP Investments where she led the portfolio design and construction team and oversaw the fund’s risk appetite and allocation. Previous to CPP Investments, she was at GE Energy Financial Services where she was responsible for due diligence and structuring acquisitions in the power sector. She also worked in Assurance and Advisory Services at Deloitte & Touche in Chicago.

Rossitsa holds a BBA from Saint Mary’s College in Indiana and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Illinois.

Derek leads the Portfolio Design & Construction group within the Total Fund Management department at CPP Investments. Derek and his team are responsible for the design the Fund’s strategic and tactical allocations, for the establishment of currency, leverage & liquidity targets, and for the incorporation of emerging factors such as climate change into TFM’s approach to portfolio construction. Prior to his current role, he held several other roles at CPP Investments, including Head of Active Investment Management and Head of Portfolio Engineering.

Erwan is the Canadian Chief Investment Officer of Aon Hewitt Investment Management Inc. He leads the investment strategy and execution for the Canadian Portfolio Management team. Erwan has responsibility for strategy development, implementation and risk management across all delegated investment clients. He previously led the Canadian fixed-income research team at Aon and was a co-lead of the fixed income team globally. Before joining Aon in 2007, Erwan was a credit analyst at Barclays in London. Erwan has a master’s degree in corporate finance from Université de Rennes (France) and holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
