The 7th Annual Australia Investors Forum 2026 is an educational initiative designed through close coordination with the Australia’s leading institutional and private wealth investors to build peer communities that merge global best practices with local expertise. The forum brings together investment leadership teams including investment officers, investment committee members, manager research, fund selection and their consultants representing the Australian institutional and private wealth investment community.

The agenda is developed through extensive travel and feedback from the institutional and private wealth investor community including single family offices, multi-family offices, superannuation funds, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, healthcare plans, independent wealth management firms, private banks and investment consultants.

Brendan Malone is the Managing Director and CEO of Raiz Invest Limited. Brendan has over 25 years’ experience in financial services including The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and ABN AMRO (AMRO). Brendan graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in accounting and finance. Brendan is a member of both The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Chloé is Head of Unlisted Assets and Private Equity at Colonial First State, where she oversees CFS’s unlisted assets program. Chloé has 17 years of combined experience in investing, mergers and acquisitions and asset governance, including at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and AustralianSuper. Prior to this, Chloé spent six years in Paris, France, where she worked at a global infrastructure contractor focussing on PPP bids, execution and delivery across Northern Europe.

Governance Lead - Investment Mandates

Craig Roodt has over 20 years’ experience focusing on investment governance and investment risk management. Currently working with AustralianSuper as Governance Lead for Internal Mandates; Craig was previously the Head of Investment Risk at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) and a Director in Deloitte’s Investment & Wealth Advisory practice. His experience includes developing key parts of the investment prudential framework in Australia, including SPS 530 Investment Governance and the Good Practice Guide to Unit Pricing; and developing and improving investment governance and risk frameworks, policies and processes at asset owners and asset managers.

Martin joined Allianz Australia Life Insurance Limited in 2023 as Head of Investments where he is responsible for the overall investment strategy and management of investment activities. Commencing his career at Macquarie Bank, Martin has worked extensively across various asset classes on the buy-side with over 19 years cumulative experience. Most recently, he was at Ellerston Capital and previously at Schroders, Deutsche Asset Management, Dimensional Fund Advisors & Sloane Robinson in London.

Rebecca is the Head of Investment Solutions for the Wealth Management client segment in the Pacific. Rebecca is a member of the Pacific Asset Allocation Committee, the Pacific Public Markets Investment Committee and the Pacific Private Markets Investment Committee and is also a member of the Asia Pacific Mercer Research Ratings Review Committee (“RRC”). Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours HIIA), majoring in Economics and Politics, from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments from the Securities Institute of Australia. Ms Jacques has also been named in the Who’s Who of Australian Women 2007, 2008 & 2009.

Ross Etherington is a senior investment executive with extensive expertise in investment strategy, portfolio construction, and asset allocation across both listed and unlisted assets. Currently the Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Coal LSL, Ross has held leadership roles such as Chief Investment Officer at Energy Industry Super Fund and Executive Manager, Investments at Suncorp. He has a proven track record in governance, risk management, responsible investing, and stakeholder management, with a focus on delivering transformational change across large diversified funds.

Key experience includes investment strategy, portfolio construction, multi-asset solutions, international equities, currency risk management, tactical asset allocation and derivatives trading.

Yile Chen was appointed to the role of Chief Investment Officer for Zurich Australia & New Zealand in March 2025. He joined the business in 2019 and has held senior roles including Head of Securities and Deputy CIO, driving the firm’s expansion into private debt and securitisation while strengthening portfolio risk frameworks. In this role, he leads the Investment team responsible for managing more than A$7 billion in balance sheet assets across fixed income, credit, equities, and property. Yile holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, a Master’s degree in Management and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
