The Riverside Company has reached an agreement to sell CertaSite, its commercial fire protection and life safety platform, to APi Group in a deal expected to close in early 2026 following regulatory approvals. CertaSite, which emphasizes customer partnership and comprehensive building safety solutions, has expanded significantly during Riverside’s seven-year ownership.
The firm executed 27 add-on acquisitions, grew its technician base from 24 to more than 250, and scaled the business from four locations to 17 facilities across eight states. Riverside leaders said the partnership strengthened CertaSite’s operational capabilities through integrations, talent development, and strategic investment, while CEO Jeff Wyatt noted that Riverside’s support was foundational to the company’s growth. The sale highlights Riverside’s ongoing focus on fire and life safety, testing, inspection, compliance, and other essential service sectors. Lincoln International and Citizens Bank advised Riverside on the transaction.
