Finland-based Veritas Pension Insurance Co.’s successor to chief executive officer Carl Haglund has officially joined the organization.

Veritas named Elina Fogelholm as its next CEO in September, she officially began working at the organization this month during an induction period. She will move into the CEO role in spring 2026, according to a press release.

Haglund left the organization earlier this year to take on an opportunity outside of the company. Tommy Sandås, chief financial officer at Veritas, is serving as interim CEO until the end of Fogelholm’s induction period in the spring.

Fogelholm joins the organization from Danske Bank, where she was head of business customers. At Danske Bank, she was responsible for sales and customer relationships with small- and mid-cap corporate customers in Finland, according to her LinkedIn profile. She was also a member of a country management team in Finland and a Nordic segment management team. She joined the bank in 2021 as a board member of Danske Finance Oy.

Prior to her role at Danske Bank, she served as the director of major accounts at Varma, where she led sales and customer relationship management of large and medium-sized corporate customers in Finland. She also worked at Nordea for 21 years in many roles, including head of credit and risk and head of business banking for southern Finland.
