Singapore captured the overwhelming share of Southeast Asia’s tech investment this year, accounting for 88% of the $2.6 billion raised in the region during the first nine months, according to data from Tracxn.
Temasek topped the private equity segment with 510 investments, while Forge and 1982 Ventures jointly led the seed-stage venture capital space with 48 deals. At the early stage, Economic Development Board Investments (EDBI) took the lead with 246 investments, followed by SEEDS Capital with 130.
Other active investors included Jungle Ventures with 109 deals, Openspace Capital with 64, Integra Partners with 38, and Tin Men with 14.
In the accelerator and incubator category, Iterative was the most active player with 194 deals, while Wavemaker Impact recorded 33.
