PE firm Advent International acquires PatientPoint

Advent International has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PatientPoint, Inc., the largest digital point-of-care network in the U.S., from an investor group led by L Catterton and Littlejohn & Co. Financial terms were not disclosed.

With more than 35 years of experience, PatientPoint provides educational content, diagnostic tools, and actionable health information through a network spanning 30,000 physician offices and 125,000 providers nationwide. Its platform engages patients at critical moments of care, helping drive awareness, behavior change, and measurable outcomes while giving pharmaceutical and health brands targeted access to audiences.

Advent executives said the firm is excited to partner with PatientPoint to enhance its role in patient engagement and expand personalized messaging on treatment options and therapies. They added that Advent’s expertise in scaling healthcare and pharmaceutical services will help accelerate PatientPoint’s network growth and product innovation.

The acquisition highlights Advent’s confidence in the expanding point-of-care sector, which is benefiting from rising digital and data-driven healthcare marketing. The investment builds on Advent’s growing portfolio of healthcare and technology companies, which includes Simtra BioPharma Solutions, Iodine (Waystar), Cohance Lifesciences, Mediq, GS Capsule, and Apollo HealthCo.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions.
