Women’s three-on-three basketball league Unrivaled has reached a valuation of $340 million following an oversubscribed Series B round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Tennis icon Serena Williams, via Serena Ventures, joined the raise alongside returning backers Warner Bros Discovery and Trybe Ventures, as well as a roster of athletes and executives including NBA stars Trae Young, Frank and Moe Wagner, and sports executive Sam Rapoport.
The funding marks a sharp jump from Unrivaled’s $95 million valuation just a year ago. The capital will be used to expand league facilities, accelerate development programs, and grow brand awareness ahead of its second season in 2026. Founded in 2023 by WNBA players Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, Unrivaled is already recognized for offering the highest average salaries in women’s team sports history and generated $27 million in first-year revenue.
Bessemer, with a track record of backing category-defining companies such as Pinterest, Shopify, and LinkedIn, emphasized Unrivaled’s combination of rapid business growth, athlete advocacy, and strong fan engagement. The league is eyeing profitability by 2026, potential expansion to eight teams, and new markets beyond Miami.
