Forest Investment Associates (FIA), a global SEC-registered investment adviser specializing in sustainable forest investments, has announced the promotion of Mike Cerchiaro to the position of President and CEO, effective January 1, 2024. In his new role, Cerchiaro will also chair the firm's Executive Committee.
Mike Cerchiaro will be succeeding Marc Walley, who announced his new responsibilities in June. While Walley will continue to be associated with FIA on a part-time basis, he will also retain his roles as Chairman of the Investment Committee and as a member of the Board.
Having joined FIA in 2004, Mike Cerchiaro currently leads the Investment Management Team at FIA. In this capacity, he oversees the ongoing investment management activities related to a forestland portfolio that spans across North and South America.
