The $2bn Eli
and Edyteh Broad Foundation named Greg Outcalt as CIO.
Outcalt succeeds
Katharine Krieger, who was at the foundation for 23 years. She has now moved on
to the role of CIO at the Getty Foundation.
As CIO, Outcalt will manage all aspects of the Foundations’
investments which fund the Broad Foundation’s flagship organizations including the
Broad Center at Yale School of Management, Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard,
BroadStage and the Broad Museum.
“We have been impressed with Greg’s collaborative nature,
sound judgment and his alignment with the mission and values of the Broad
Foundations,” said Gerun Riley, president of the
Broad Foundation, in a statement.
Prior to this, Outcalt was the president and chief financial officer at Parea Capital
for almost two years.
Before
that, he was the president and CIO at Windhorse Family Office for almost two
years.
He was responsible for developing the investment program and managing a diversified portfolio pursuant to the mission and objectives of a US-based family office.
He has also
worked at Mt Vernon Capital, Alliance Bernstein and Sun America Alternative
Investments.
