Thoma Bravo eyes $2B takeover of Verint Systems

Private equity giant Thoma Bravo is reportedly preparing to acquire Verint Systems, a U.S. call center and customer experience software company, in a deal valued at roughly $2 billion including debt, Bloomberg reported. Verint shares closed Friday at $20.47, giving the company a market cap of $1.23 billion, according to LSEG data.

Sources say an agreement could be announced as soon as Monday, though discussions remain ongoing and terms may still shift. Neither Thoma Bravo nor Verint has commented.

With $184 billion in assets under management as of March 31, Thoma Bravo is one of the world’s largest software-focused investors, having completed more than 530 deals in the sector. Earlier this month, the firm acquired HR software provider Dayforce for $12.3 billion in one of its biggest take-privates.

Headquartered in Melville, New York, Verint provides customer experience automation software to clients including Google, Microsoft, and Lyft.
