BT Pension Scheme appoints a new trustee director

With immediate effect, Mark Davies steps in as the new trustee director at BTPS.

The £35B BT Pension Scheme has appointed Matt Davies as trustee director, following the departure of Emily Clark.

Since 2017, Davies serves as the chief finance officer at Openreach. Prior to joining his current organization, he was the CFO at BT Consumer. Earlier in his career, he worked as an accountant at ITV before leaving to join the finance team at Unilever.

“Matt’s extensive financial leadership experience and deep understanding of the BT Group will be invaluable as we continue to deliver on our commitment to the Scheme’s members,” said Jill Mackenzie, BTPS’ chair, in a press release. “I would also like to thank Emily Clark for her dedicated service. Her insights and counsel have been greatly appreciated.”

The scheme is one of the UK’s largest and pays out £2.8B in pension payments to the 212,000 members of the scheme.
