The ALTSSG 2025 was developed as a local, investor-centric and education-focused one-day forum, co-hosted by the CAIA Association and CFA Society Singapore. With their guidance and oversight, this one-day event features leading practitioners from the fields of venture capital, cannabis, cryptocurrency, AI, private equity, private debt, hedge funds, real asset investing and other sectors of the alternative investment market. Craig Roodt has over 20 years’ experience focusing on investment governance and investment risk management. Currently working with AustralianSuper as Governance Lead for Internal Mandates; Craig was previously the Head of Investment Risk at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) and a Director in Deloitte’s Investment & Wealth Advisory practice. His experience includes developing key parts of the investment prudential framework in Australia, including SPS 530 Investment Governance and the Good Practice Guide to Unit Pricing; and developing and improving investment governance and risk frameworks, policies and processes at asset owners and asset managers.

Since 1999, the Family Office is focused principally on providing oversight for investments and comprehensive wealth management services for the Tahija Family. Prior to joining the Family Office, Eileen had a multi-discipline career, spending 16 years in investment banking across Asia with Goldman Sachs, UBS and DBS and 5 years as CEO for Marionnuad France, the selective luxury retail business in France with CK Hutchison Group. Currently, she also serves as independent director and member of Audit Committee of the Singapore Eye Research Institute of SingHealth in Singapore and member of the SGX Listing Advisory Committee of the Singapore Exchange Limited.

Jayne Bok is Head of Investments, Asia, at WTW, based in Hong Kong. She leads the regional strategy, client delivery, and business development, helping clients achieve better outcomes through advisory, proprietary tools, and delegated solutions. With over 23 years of experience, she previously headed Sovereign Advisory, working with SWFs, central banks, and government entities across Asia. Before moving to Hong Kong in 2013, she spent nine years in Korea, where she established WTW’s local investment consultancy. Starting her career as a Talent consultant in Korea, Jayne joined Hong Kong’s Investments practice in 2004, building a strong foundation in the industry.

John was appointed CEO for the CAIA Association in January 2025. He has devoted over 25 years to the asset management industry to recover the narrative of the value that the investment profession brings to society. He is a staunch public advocate for market integrity, long-termism, investor outcomes, diversity, human dignity and educational standards, as necessary ingredients to building a sustainable and healthy profession. John previously served as Managing Director for the Americas for CFA Institute, a region comprised of 40+ countries from Canada, the U.S., Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Before that, John was a portfolio manager for non-US equity strategies at both Boston Company and SSgA for several years. John is a prolific, speaker, writer and commentator, frequently keynoting industry conferences and appearing in investment and business publications such as the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Pension and Investments, Financial Advisor, The Independent, Wealthmanagement.com and CNBC.

Karen May is an Investment Manager in the Credit Team at the Future Fund, overseeing both liquid and private credit markets. She joined in 2016 after extensive bank risk and capital management experience at ANZ Banking Group. Karen May holds a Bachelor of Science and Commerce from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (“CAIA”), serving on the CAIA Australia Chapter Executive Committee.

Nadiah Abdul Hamid is Head of Real Estate Investments & Acquisitions at KWAP, responsible for shaping and executing KWAP's Real Estate investment strategy. She leads direct asset initiatives, fund investments, co-investments, and joint ventures across core and value add sectors, overseeing global mandate execution and portfolio optimisation. Nadiah has driven the launch and management of a global real estate fund programme, led a RM2.0 billion real estate mandate, Dana Pemacu and strategic joint venture investments across APAC, Europe and Australia. She serves as an Investment Committee representative on platforms alongside global investors and holds LP advisory seats on selected funds, providing ongoing governance, co-investment approval oversight and performance stewardship. Earlier in her career she led and managed KWAP's private equity portfolios.

Nick Pollard is a seasoned leader with over 15 years of international finance experience in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Currently, he is helping drive CAIA Association’s expansion in this key market, leveraging his expertise in business development and his passion for training the next generation of finance professionals. Nick's career includes a successful seven-year tenure as Managing Director for the CFA Institute in APAC, where he worked closely with institutional partners, employers, universities, and regulators. Prior to joining the CFA Institute, Nick held senior leadership roles at The Royal Bank of Scotland’s Coutts Asia division, where he served as CEO, and later, as Head of International Learning and Professional Development for Coutts International. His career began with NatWest Group where he honed his skills in marketing and talent development. Nick has lived and worked in the APAC region for nearly two decades, positioning him at the forefront of the region's economic and demographic shifts. His deep understanding of the growing demand for private capital investments particularly in infrastructure, real assets, private equity, venture capital, and private credit makes him an invaluable asset to CAIA's efforts in APAC. He holds a B.A. from University College, London.

Simon co-founded and is the Chief Executive Officer of Peak Capital Management, a multi-asset alternative fund manager, that strive to provide tailored investment strategies to accredited investors. He served as Chief Executive Officer of RHB Asset Management Pte. Ltd. between June 2020 and May 2024 and also headed up the Alternative Investment of RHB Asset Management Group. Prior to this appointment, Simon was the CEO/Managing Director of CCB International (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (an investment arm of China Construction Bank) since 2016, after leaving Shanda Group, a private investment holding company where he heads up the Multi-Asset Investment activities. Prior to Shanda Group, Simon was Pan Asia Deputy Chief Investment Officer of AXA Rosenberg Investment Management, which is 100% owned by AXA Investment Managers, where he started his Investment Management career in 2001. He has served in the Singapore, United States of America and Japan office in his 15 years of service in the firm. His prior appointment at the firm have included Head of Investment Japan, Head of Portfolio Management in Asia Pacific, senior global product strategist, US strategy engineer and Asia Pacific portfolio engineer. Simon obtained his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder. Simon is currently the President and board member of the CFA Society Singapore and holds roles in other non-profit organizations including member of Singapore Manufacturing Federation Finance Management Committee. Simon is also serving as Fellows with Singapore University of Social Sciences.
