NGS Super appoints deputy CIO, expands ESG teams

The $10.2bn NGS Super has promoted Michael Mi to deputy CIO, from the role of the head of portfolio construction and quantitative research.

In the July 26 statement, the Australian pension fund also appointed Skye King and Wendy Fang to senior ESG roles.

Mi, who has been with the pension fund for almost seven years, will continue his duties as head of portfolio construction and quantitative research alongside leading the liquid alternatives team.

Mi joined the pension fund as a quantitative analyst in 2017.

The system has merged its ESG team with its investment governance teams under a single leadership structure led by King.

Most recently, King was the head of ESG and responsible investment and has been with the pension fund for over five years.

Lastly, Fang has been appointed as senior ESG consultant, which a newly expanded role from her previous position.
