The $23.8bn Los Angeles City Employees’
Retirement System (LACERS) may discuss welcoming a new general manager to replace Neil
M. Guglielmo, who is set to retire at the end of March.
At its January 14 meeting, the board
instructed the staff to bring along a suggested process for its January 28th
meeting.
This could include hiring an outside search
firm or running the search process or both.
Guglielmo joined the pension plan in 2018, following the retirement of Thomas Moutes. Prior to that, he served as a chief financial officer at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
