The 4th Annual West Institutional Real Estate Investor Forum is a local peer to peer educational meeting exclusively for the institutional and HNW wealth management community with a specific focus on allocations to real estate.

The program agenda has been developed through extensive local travel and feedback from the local markets including executive directors, chief investment officers, senior finance and investment staff, general counsels and trustees representing institutional & HNW wealth management asset owners including public and corporate pension plans, endowments, foundations, insurance portfolios, healthcare plans, investment consultants, family offices, HNW wealth managers and private banks.

In a closed door and non-salesy environment we provide a platform for peer to peer knowledge exchange for the institutional and HNW wealth management community with a specific focus on allocations to real estate. Our coverage is constantly updated to reflect the latest in core, value add, real estate debt, industrial and hospitality investments spanning building initial allocations to managing multi-billion dollar portfolios.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Rahul Idnani, Managing Director, Global Chief Operating Officer and U.S. Head of Portfolio Management, Nuveen Real Estate

Rahul is responsible for leading global strategy and corporate development for Nuveen Real Estate. In the Americas, Rahul manages a $50 billion real estate portfolio across all property types and risk styles for global institutional and retail clients. As a member of the global executive leadership team, he leads corporate strategy, joint venture and M&A efforts, partnering with teams across sectors and regions to design and execute on strategic initiatives. Rahul oversees portfolio management and investment operations in the Americas as well as global investment performance. He is also a member of the investment committee and operating committee in the Americas.

Prior to his current role, Rahul held senior positions at TIAA Investments, where he played a key role in the acquisition and integration of Nuveen Investments, and the strategy and finance oversight of its real assets businesses, including real estate, agriculture, timber, infrastructure and alternative credit. Rahul previously held leadership roles at ING Group, where he helped lead Voya Financial’s IPO and turnaround strategy. He began his career in 2007, as an investment analyst at Credit Suisse Alternative Investments.

Rahul graduated with a B.S., magna cum laude, in Finance and Economics from New York University Stern School of Business. He is also a member of the International Honor Society for Business Programs, Beta Gamma Sigma.


Jamie Shen, Chief Investment Officer, PGIM Agricultural Investments

Jamie Shen is the Chief Investment Officer of PGIM Agricultural Investments. In this role, she leads the equity team in managing the portfolio of agricultural properties. Jamie is located in San Francisco. Prior to joining Prudential in 2017, Jamie was an Executive Vice President and Practice Leader of Alternative Investments Consulting with Callan Associates where she had overall responsibility for Real Assets Consulting services. While Jamie’s particular focus was on agriculture and real estate, she oversaw research and implementation of real estate, timber, infrastructure and agricultural asset classes and chaired Callan’s Alternative Investment Committee. Prior to Callan, Jamie was a Principal with The McMahan Group, a San Francisco based-management consulting firm specializing in real estate enterprises. Jamie has worked in the real estate consulting groups of both Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
